Swimming - the Great Benefits

Swimming benefits the whole person not only the body. Swimming has long considered as one of the most “perfect” sports since of its low injury rate and the amazing benefits, regardless of one’s ability or age. There are many factors working against you when you exercise on land. First, you have to battle the force of your full weight. Next, you put pressure on your bones and joints, particularly if you are overweight.

The buoyancy of water acts as a protective shield around the body, taking away any excess pressure on your bones, joints and muscles. Swimming is one of the safest forms of exercise, especially if you have an injury, arthritis, a disability or are pregnant or overweight.

In addition, swimming benefits anyone trying to lose weight. When you swim, you burn calories at a rate of about 3 calories a mile per pound of bodyweight. So, if you weigh 150 lbs. and you swim one mile in 30 minutes, then you will burn about 900 calories per hour. If you weigh 150 pounds and it takes you 60 minutes to swim one mile, then you will burn 450 calories in one hour. The harder you work and the more you weigh, the more calories you burn. Colder water also stimulates blood circulation and metabolism. Because metabolism is accelerated (even after coming out of the water), the body's fat reserves are reached faster than usual.

Swimming builds cardiovascular health, flexibility, endurance, and muscle strength. Since water adds twelve times more resistance than air, swimming helps build muscle strength faster. Swimming works all the major muscles groups and the smoothness of the movements helps lengthen and stretch muscles, rather than make them bulky. Swimming also improves cardiovascular health and lowers blood pressure.

Swimming benefits your health and can even lengthen your life! A recent University of Carolina study followed more than 40,000 men over a 32 year period. The swimmers were 50 percent less likely to die during the study period than were walkers or runners.

In addition to physical benefits, there are psychological benefits of swimming. Swimming forces you to regulate your breathing, while it massages your muscles and relieves stress. Being enveloped by the water creates a meditative feeling, leaving you calm and relaxed. And swimming is fun. Spending time in a water aerobics class or a master's swim class is a great social outlet. You can swim with friends, whether it be in a pool, lake or ocean.

Swimming is truly the perfect exercise that you can do for a lifetime.

You are not the only one at all if you are feeling out of shape and tired. In fact, sedentary lifestyles have led to an epidemic of out of shape and even obese people. However, there are ways to turn things around and you can start that ball rolling, or rather that wheel rolling, by biking.

Biking is wonderful exercise. It can really get your heart pumping. It's also great because it's useful for daily life. For example, if you need to go to the bank, why not take the bike instead of the car? A few minutes of biking will get you exercise and fresh air. You'll also help the environment, since you won't be wasting car fuel.

Another thing that's great about biking is that it's a social activity. Many exercises are boring, so people tend to quit. However, if you can find friends or family members to bike with, it'll become a great social event. You'll look forward to your biking trips.

The interesting thing about looking forward to exercising is that it tends to make it not feel like exercising anymore. Biking won't feel like a chore. Instead, it'll feel like a fun, relaxing activity. That activity has a lot of benefits for your health, though. So, if you want to lose weight, build muscle or just get out and get some healthy fresh air, try picking up a bike. In no time, you'll see the benefits that bike riding has to offer for both you and your entire family.

You can be Healthy at any age.

You will learn 4 success tips to creating the healthy life
you desire. You are not here to just survive life, but to make
a difference in your life in the lives of others. YOU deserve to be healthy.

I know some would disagree with that last statement, but
everyone does deserve to be healthy in every area of their life. We may
hits some bumps along the way or we may get a few bruises, but overall
you do deserve the best life possible. A Healthy Life.

Step 1 on your journey to a healthy life: Remember that your
emotional health, the real you on the inside, is probably more important
than the way others see you. You know, people cannot read your heart,
but you know your heart. When you speak to yourself inside your head--
How much is negative? and how much talk is positive?
Three of the greatest words to tell yourself each day is "I LOVE YOU!

Step 2: A healthy life begins on the inside. Now that you have
the first step down, then continue on to the next step. Rid yourself of
people that put you down or are negative towards you. They are not
worth having as friends or acquaintances. You deserve better friends.
Friends that speak the truth in love. They love you for who you are.

Step 3: A life of health and wellness requires putting the right
foods in your kitchen cabinets and at your place of work. People that desire
to be healthy will be attracted to you. You will become a magnet. As you move
towards eating the right kinds of foods, people that eat that same food
will take notice of you. You won't have those sugar highs and lows throughout
the day nd you will move towards your ideal weight effortlessly.

Step 4: Be grateful for the little things in life. A smile (this is
really a big thing). A healthy life is one in which joy and thankfulness are
at the root of your very being. When you appreciate others and tell them.
They will respect you and will come to appreciate you and sincerity.

Being Healthy is so important. Lets change one thing in our life today.
Think well of yourself, do things that are best for you, say what you mean
and always be thankful. Have a Healthy Life beginning now.

Thanks
